Members of the Estonian community are invited to attend a series of information sessions on updates to the development of the new Estonian Centre on Madison Avenue in Toronto.
There are four sessions in total, all to be held at the Estonian House from 7 to 8.30 p.m.
• January 31, 2018
• February 21, 2018
• March 14, 2018
• April 4, 2018
Purpose of the sessions is to update the community on progress, milestones and next steps in the development process. It is a busy time, with much good progress accomplished and underway on key areas.
The first update meeting on January 31 will bring community members up to date on the potential sale of the Estonian House, the status of the final purchase for the property at 9 Madison Avenue (the current parking lot property beside Tartu College, which is the site of the new centre), along with 11 Madison Avenue, progress of the due diligence process (which examines the overall viability of the project with respect to development and construction costs and ongoing operations) and the status of City of Toronto approvals on the project.
We will also share information on upcoming community consultations with groups who will use the Estonian Centre to gather input on their needs, vision and wishes for a new and welcoming facility. How would a new Estonian Centre work for your group? We invite you to bring your thoughts, dreams and ideas.
Important updates will be added to each session as new information becomes available. Therefore, those interested are encouraged to come to every session if possible.
