Important Update from Northern Birch Credit Union

As the outbreak of COVID-19 continues to evolve, we are taking proactive and precautionary measures to continue serving our members, while also protecting the health and safety of our employees, members and communities and doing our part to help flatten the curve.


Branch Hours 

We are committed to meeting all of your banking needs. Our branch locations remain open but will operate under modified in-branch hours. 

Starting tomorrow, Thursday March 19th, our branch hours will be changing to the following: 

Estonian House Branch 
Monday – Friday: 10 am – 2 pm
Saturday: Closed

Latvian Centre Branch
Monday: Closed
Tuesday – Friday: 10 am – 2 pm
Saturday: Closed

Hamilton Branch* 
Thursday: 10 am – 7 pm
Friday: Closed
Saturday: 10 am – 1 pm

*Please note Hamilton Branch hours are temporary and are due to change next week. Please follow us on social media and visit our website for any updates. Access at the Hamilton Branch is temporarily limited to former Latvian Credit Union members only.*

All other branch hours will continue until further notice.

Bank Remotely 
We continue to encourage you to bank remotely, by using our online & mobile banking and debit cards. Our Member Service Representatives can assist you by telephone with most of the services that are offered online and in-branch.

Through our digital channels you can:

  • Make and schedule bill payments
  • Transfer funds between your accounts and through Interac e-Transfer
  • Check your balances
  • Deposit cheques remotely through our mobile banking app
  • and much more
  • With our debit card you have access to thousands of surcharge-free ATMs.  Visit an ATM to deposit or withdraw cash, deposit cheques, make transfers, and more.

Download the Exchange Network ATM Finder App today or click here to find a no-fee ATM closest to you.  All you need is your debit card to access your chequing account at an ATM.

If you are not currently set up with online banking or a debit card, please call us in branch and we will be happy to do this for you remotely. 

If you are sick or at risk of having been exposed to COVID-19, please stay at home

To protect yourself and others, we ask that anyone who is feeling unwell; who has been exposed to COVID-19; or who is returning from, or who has had close contact with a family or household member, who has returned from international travel, refrain from visiting a branch.  Northern Birch Credit Union is requiring all employees, who return from international travel, to self-monitor and work from home for 14 days before returning to the office.
