Heading into the New Year at Ehatare

In spite of all the recent changes, there has been a lot of Activity at Ehatare. Santa made it to Ehatare in time to celebrate with the residents. Songs were sung and poems were read. Each resident received a gift, and many laughs were shared.

Ehatare has had a successful fundraising campaign thanks to our Activity and Dietary departments. Thank you to the staff and volunteers who were able to prepare vorstid and other Eesti toidud for the community to enjoy.

Ehatare received a very generous donation from Edgar Õunpuu to help fund more activity programs for our residents now and in the New Year! Donations like these help us go above and beyond for our residents. Many thanks!

Ehatare is currently looking for more staff to help strengthen our community and care for our residents. At this time, we are specifically interested in cooks, maintenance workers, dietary aides, nurses and personal support workers. Estonian speaking would be preferred, but we also value those who want to help make our Home an even better place to live and work. If interested, please contact Veronika Viinamae during business hours by phone 416-284-0828 or email VViinamae@ehatare.ca.

If you or your loved one is looking for a short stay/respite stay, keep Ehatare in mind. Depending on the current regulations, new admissions may be required to isolate for 2 weeks. You can consider respite stay as a break, a time to reconnect with friends, or even as a trial to see if Ehatare is right for you.

If you or someone you know is interested in learning more about services, or room availability in the Retirement and/or Nursing Home, please don’t hesitate to contact Sirje Järvel during business hours by phone 416-284-0828 or email SJarvel@ehatare.ca.

Happy Holidays and all the best in the New Year!
